The original uke demo of “It’s Over”
This may have been the hardest song I’ve written to date, I wrote and scrapped 5 or 6 versions before arriving at this… the long held note at the end after Pearl throws the rose in the air was a request from Joe, this raw recording predates it! Deedee, Aivi & Surasshu turned this song into something so incredible… infinite thanks to them and to Jeff Ball on strings… this episode was a dream made real for me and I’m so so grateful to my amazing team!!!

Something about Greg’s face in this little moment really grabbed me. He’s so lost, so tired. He’s been carrying this weight all these years, the belief that Pearl and the Crystal Gems all hate him… and the belief that he deserves it.
Greg blames himself for Rose being gone. It’s his fault that the rest of the Gems are without their leader. He loved her, and she loved him back, and he was selfish for indulging in that. His love stole someone so important to so many people away.
“That wasn’t the problem.”
“Then what was?”
If it’s not disgust and loathing for him, what else could it possibly be? He’s spent so long internalizing that guilt, he’s never imagined anything but taking the blame.
More than the money, what Greg needed was this. This conversation, this step towards friendship, this reassurance that his existence doesn’t hurt the people he loves.
This episode broke my heart and soul and i needed something to lift my spirits up

Hey Kurt, I'm sure you've probably answered this before, but do you have any tips for making a person's Gemsonas all unique from one another? Cause you seem to be pretty good at it! (LOVE all of your Gems btw!!!!<3)
Its a mix and match game! Even in the show, as an example some character’s have the same type of face shape, but have a different type of nose shape. You can even come up with your own or mix 2 different things together!
So mix and match or mix them together!
Gem type, placement of gem, and personality is all up to you.
Clothing can be whatever you want, I would try basing it off of personality or gem type job, but if you are trying to go closer to canon (like homeworld gems), look at different canon homeworld outfits, and go from there.
i know the song only kinda fits, but that whole scene just screamed a “Satisfied” vibe yo.
